You’ll have a much easier time getting around if you learn the language. Also, you’ll enjoy your new home more if you feel like you fit in.
4. Heritage - If your ancestors are from a different country, it can be an enriching experience for you to learn the language. You’ll feel more connected to your ancestors and your heritage.
5. Family/Friends - A good reason to learn a new language is to communicate with friends or family more easily. If someone you know speaks a foreign language, it can be fun to learn the language and talk to them in their own language. This will also show them how much they mean to you.
6. Religion - Several people need or want to learn a new language for their religion. If you do missionary work in other countries, it can be helpful to learn the language. It will be easier to reach out to people if there isn’t a communication barrier. Learning a new language can also help you if you’re interested in studying religious books written in other languages.
7. Personal Interest - Besides all of the practical reasons to learn a new language, you may want to learn for personal reasons. Learning a new language can challenge your mind. It can also be a fun hobby if you’re interested in a certain language.
